RUHENGERI (MUSANZE)
This is the busiest tourist Centre in Rwanda; the city is visited by thousands of tourists.
The touristic attractions to see here are:
The Mountain Gorillas, the Golden Monkies, the Sabinyo mountain hiking in order to watch the crater lake just on the summit, the Dian Fossey Graves, the sacred forest (this is the place where they were putting the former kings during some months in order to get trained how they are going to serve their people and you will learn more about their culture) Musanze cave lies in the ground of a school; you will not miss to visit also the cultural center where you will watch pygmies, Intore dancers, you will learn about the former hunting and different tools that were used, the orphanage; also you will not miss the opportunity of visiting the twin lakes Ruhondo and Burera that are very magnify in this area; here you will learn traditional knowledge and Rwandan fishing methods from a group of local people at the twin lakes.

Here a boat ride is organized in order to discover the beauty of these lakes. While being in Ruhengeri, you will enjoy a casual walk through one of villages around There you will see and interact with local communities. Being outside of the town, you will view also the rolling hills and banana plantations that cauterize the country, also you will enjoy a personal experience to see how people are making the banana beer, the local productions process to enjoy a sample of this tasty beverage, also we have the banana plant bark handicraft, one of the strongest traditions in Rwanda. With them they make chairs, baskets, shoes, notice boards and a variety of other decorations. You will also see a demonstration of how the honey is harvested and listen to why the vegetation in swamps and forested area are ideal locations for hives. Do not miss the opportunity to go and visit the Karago Lake located a 20km from Ruhengeri in a place called Mukamira at left side from Ruhengeri.

KIGALI

- The genocide memorial
