KISANGANI TOWN
This is the third town of DR Congo. Without the river there would be no Kisangani as it is the furthest point one can travel from Kinshasa without encountering rapids. The city lies between the Congo River to its south and the Tshopo River to its north. It was founded by Sir Henry Morton Stanley in January 1877. This famous explorer found that Kisangani is an Island because it is located between the Congo and the Tshopo rivers.
Memorable sites include the Tshopo River Falls and the Wagenia fisheries set up in the midst of the river rapids (these Wagenia fishermen have been using an interested tactic of catching fish along the river with large conical baskets suspended from wooden frames across the river. This a unique site and well worth a visit), the well where the explorer was drinking water during his exploration and two monuments discovered by him; the general hospital; the big brewery that produces the Congo beer; the big foot ball stadium called state de Lumumba; the zoo near the Tshopo river in which we have a lot of species of animals including snakes; the bamboo palace where we have a very nice restaurant in bamboos near the Congo river; the Lindi bridge where the Tshopo river throws itself in the Congo river; Yangambi(the place where we can find the biggest electric tree, the agriculture and the former Belgian buildings).It is also the research center for different trees. Boat ride in Congo River; visit of the national society of rail way and harbor; Wagenia village (this is the fishing village); the former slavery market near the Congo River and the Lokela fishers.

ISIRO TOWN
This is the closest town to Garamba National Park in which we have Rhinos. The town is also the home of the first beatified Congolese female Marie Clementine Anuarite Nangapeta, who was killed by Simba rebels in 1964.
Pope John Paul II traveled to Kinshasa in 1985 to complete the beatification ceremony.
Her body was buried in Isiro at the Catholic Church.
